My Story
Russ Bradford Consulting grew out of experience, the kind you gain by doing the work yourself.
When I first ran for Metro Council, I learned quickly how much goes into building a campaign from the ground up. It wasn't just about having good ideas. A campaign needed a clear message, a strong visual identity, a website, printed materials, digital communications, community engagement, and a strategy to bring all those pieces together.
I also learned from the people around me. I asked questions, listened to people with more experience, figured out what worked and what didn't, and carried those lessons forward. After my own campaign, I began helping other candidates do the same, sometimes with strategy, sometimes with a website or graphic, and often by simply filling the gap between what needed to get done and the resources available to do it.
Over time, that work expanded beyond campaigns. Through public service, nonprofit and community leadership, and professional work in quality and communications, I've seen the same challenge appear again and again: good people and good organizations often have strong ideas but need practical support to turn those ideas into action.
That's what led to Russ Bradford Consulting.
I created this business to provide the kind of support I know can make a difference—thoughtful, practical, and tailored to where someone is starting. Whether that means developing a strategy, building a brand, creating a website, strengthening communications, or simply helping someone figure out what comes next, the goal is the same:
Give candidates and organizations the support they need to start with confidence and move forward with purpose.
My ApProach
I believe the best support starts with listening. Every candidate and organization is different, so I begin by understanding where you are, what you need, and where you want to go.
From there, I bring strategy, design, and communications together to provide practical support tailored to your goals. Sometimes that means building from the ground up. Other times, it means strengthening what’s already working or filling the gaps that are getting in the way.
The goal isn’t to give you more than you need. It’s to give you the right support to move forward with confidence.
